Why We Get Sick
Disruption of Homeostasis Chronic illness and an inability to heal arise as a result of physical, physiological and energetic blockages within our systems. Such obstructions are due to a disturbance of the inborn homeostasis, or balanced synergistic functioning of our bodies, which is intimately connected with the condition of our inner physiological environment, or internal terrain, as well as the state of our subtler mental, emotional and astral bodies. This perturbation of internal homeostasis interferes with the inborn health sustaining balance of our bodies. Such interference impedes the natural ebb and flow of the myriad chemical, biological, electromagnetic and energetic currents that exist throughout us. When movement within these internal streams becomes stagnant, congested or perhaps even blocked, not only can this cause us to become ill, but it can also profoundly compromise our innate capacity for healing.
